Richie Bello and Panel of Respected Cuban Americans Step Up for Democracy In Cuba – The Time is Now
This Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 2 PM Eastern, Richie Bello invites you to join him LIVE with a unique panel of Cuban Americans who tell their story and share their plea for democracy in Cuba. Cuban Americans everywhere have taken up the cause of democracy now for Cuba. This panel of Cuban Americans are well known in their communities as successful businessmen and “died in the wool” Cuban Americans.
Richie Bello, the host of this special LIVE show was born in Cuba in 1964 and came to America in 1967 with his parents and four siblings. Richie’s dad was a successful businessman in Cuba with influence and a successful school that he started and ran. The. family’s land, business, and home were taken under Castro, which motivated Richie’s dad to get his family out before his oldest son would be taken by Castro for the military.
Luis Tomas Puig has an amazing story of how his family fled in an overcrowded fishing boat full of refugees. Puig’s dad was Castro’s political prisoner who escaped with his family, including Luis, who was then a frail, sick child. Today, Luis is a true American patriot who went from Communism to American submariner and author of “Born Again” which gives the reader more insight into the importance of democracy.
Julio Anta a renowned martial artist and bodybuilder today is a retired State of Florida Correction Officer and honorably discharged US Marine Reserves Sargeant, Israeli law enforcement defensive tactics trainer, Israeli active shooter response instructor, and more, including a winner of numerous bodybuilding competitions, including winning at over 60 years old. Julio was born in Cuba in 1957 and arrived in America with his parents in 1962. A proud Cuban American, he will share his journey from refugee to top in his field.
Robert Bejarano left Cuba in 1972. His father was sent to the UMAP Concentration Camp by Castro because he was a doctor of military age who wanted to leave Cuba. It took over ten years to get out. Bejarano will share the anguish his family endured and how his father survived and got his family out.
All four panelists will drive home the importance of acting now to bring Cuba to democracy.You’ll hear their insight and plea to activate as many Americans to step up for Cuba and the democracy it so well deserves.
