5. Internal Dealership Update Video Emails
But your automotive videos don’t have to be limited to just customers. You can send video emails to keep the whole dealership informed of sales wins, leads generated, and more.
Many good Internet Sales Directors send video updates on outbound sales efforts, appointments set, leads by inquiry category (used/new car), etc.
It’s an awesome way to keep everyone in your dealership in the loop, while celebrating the success of your team members.
So, there’s alignment across your business. And you’re encouraging everyone in the process.
Happy employees lead to motivated ones. And motivated employees lead to more cars sold.
There are many dealerships and dealer groups that have hired video specialists to work with the sales team members and management on creating better videos. This way they sales consultants are not nervous, positioned correctly, creative shots, no time over runs, etc. I have seen where dealer groups have placed one at each dealership in the group or share them with two or three to ensure that there is some consistency within the dealerships in the group.
I have also seen where Independents have taken their talents and hired themselves out to dealerships or dealer groups for a fee and working with the managers to be better coaches in order that over a set time six months or a year that the responsibility would fall under that management team.
And yes, just like a BDC manager, Internet Manager, Used Car Manager, CPO Manager, there are now Video Managers/Social media Managers who have taken the forefront on this Important position. The question falls back to how do you want your customer experience to look like and is it Important to you and your dealership or dealer group.
The next new position that has been talked about is if you are consistent and your sales teams are comfortable with digital marketing and have Incorporated a sold product specialist delivery to a customer away from the dealership – videos by the employees and customer on a well knowledge based delivery.
Incorporate Videos in Your Dealership for More Closed Deals
If your dealership already has a video tool that you are not using but your team hasn’t sent very many videos.Make this a coaching point for the summer and you will see the results by the end of July and through the end of the year.
